The busy days and a broken leg

I usually don’t do much on Sundays. The last Sunday was a bit different. I met three different friends and went on a long motorcycle ride. We decided to just ride on new roads that are being built on the outskirts of the hometown city. During covid I and all of my friends are currently in our hometown because of work from home. So every weekend I try to plan some different outing. I think we should enjoy this luxury of exploring our own city and its outskirts till we are living here. So it was a different outing:

Because of outing and meeting friends I didn’t get the time to write anything during last weekend. I also have not been reading much over the past few weeks. It seems to me that my days have degraded as compared to past weeks.

The reality is that I am working hard in my day job, therefore most of the hours in the day get sucked into meetings and tasks. I have got into a new role as project manager, which is 90% people management skills and that is why suddenly I have to work hard. I identify myself as ambivert so let's see how it goes in the future.

Yesterday, it was a Monday. One of those days where you question your life choices. Countless meetings and countless tasks drained me. After a long day, I had to take one of my closest childhood friends to the doctor. He is one of those people that plays cricket every time they visit their hometown. Recently he played football and his leg started to hurt. Maybe football was taking its revenge for getting neglected. We went to the clinic and the doctor said to my friend to not play any sport for the next whole month. My friend was very disappointed in hearing this. He was so disgruntled that he was not even replying to any of my questions when we were coming back from the clinic. His emotions are quite closely associated with nostalgia of childhood days when he used to play cricket everyday. So I took him out for coffee so lighten the mood.

After that I wasted my time streaming a TV series. The day came to an end.
